Call for Art! 7th Annual Juried Art Show

Attention Artist! The Shelby County Arts Council is issuing a “Call for Art” for the 7th Annual Juried Art Show.   Amateur and professional artists are invited to digitally submit up to three pieces for consideration. The entry for this year’s show is $75 which includes an individual membership to the SCAC.   Categories include: Painting (acrylic, oil or watercolor), 3D sculpture, Ceramic, Photography, Drawing and Mixed Media. Cash prizes will be awarded to “Best of Show” and the “Best Of” in each category. In addition, the winner will be featured in the SCAC Art and Culture article for the November edition of Shelby Living Magazine.

The opening reception is slated for Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 6:00-7:30pm at the Shelby County Arts Council Gallery in Columbiana, Alabama. Awards will be presented at 7:00pm. The exhibit dates are September 10, 2015 through October 4, 2015. The opening reception is free and open to the public. Gallery Hours are Monday – Thursday, 10am – 5pm.
