Virginia Dixon

Greetings! I’ve been dabbling in drawing and art since the beginning of time, and will probably be forever an “artist in the making.” In college I majored in Advertising, and achieved a double major in art. With that degree in my pocket, I became a career graphic designer, but never had time to practice illustration or fine art. However, in 2019 I signed up for an oil painting class with Dori DeCamillis at Red Dot Gallery and loved it! Since then I have been taking workshops both in person and online with artists I admire. Now retired, I focus on my art practice which includes jumping from medium to medium to try new things. I love including pattern in my compositions, painting faces and things I love.
