Founded in 1981, the Mountain Brook Art Association of Mountain Brook, Alabama, is an organization whose membership includes artists who work primarily in two-dimensional artwork.

Membership is open to persons residing within a 25 mile radius of Mountain Brook City Hall.  Also of note is that our annual spring show in Crestline Village and our Holiday Show are limited to two-dimensional painting and drawing. Publication of Spring Show guidelines and registration occurs in January and for the Holiday Show in late October/early November.   For more information on joining, please click HERE.

Our meetings feature demonstrations from some of the most well-known artists in our area, along with many useful presentations. See our Meetings Page for more details. The membership directory is updated and distributed periodically through email (and can be sent USPS, if requested).  Members are expected to be familiar with and uphold the MBAA Constitution and Bylaws (available on the private Members Only section of our site) and to attend association meetings regularly.  Annual membership dues are set at $40 and are payable in January. Active members who renew after January 31st will be will owe an additional $10 late fee ($50 to renew).  New members who join from September 1st through December 31st pay prorated dues of $20.

The annual Spring Art Show has been held on the first Saturday in May on the athletic field at Crestline Elementary School, and in 2022 will be on April 30th at the Mountain Brook City Hall.  The Holiday Show is typically held for two weeks in late November/early December in an available space at a local shopping area. In the past it has been at Brookwood Mall, and more recently at the Summit.
