Kelley Fitzpatrick

Kelley is an intuitive abstract painter working in acrylic and mixed media. Though self-taught, she has attended workshops across the country for the past 15 years. Seeking pure and spontaneous expression, Kelley considers art making to be a form of prayer. Her marks are a kind of hieroglyphics, and her colors are often an accidental result of a wet into wet “alla prima” technique. Shapes most often appear through erasure. By releasing control, Kelley hopes to convey something fresh and dynamic.
