As a child I sketched and created chalk art. As a teen I entered the world of thespians, acting in school plays or wherever else I could be on stage. In high school I discovered my voice and formed a singing group called Monday Morning Smile. We performed in front of small crowds and on stage with larger audiences of hundreds, often writing our own songs. I sang at various other events and venues having a lot of fun! After that, when I was thirty something, I became an award winning graphic designer delighting in the ability to express myself – yet again – in the world of “the arts”. Later… by chance, I learned I had skill with a brush and began to develop talent with watercolor. This… while I was going blind, was a miracle and true gift from God who allowed me to see well enough to follow this new love. I am now a senior and retired from the medical field. I spend much of my time with a canvas, brush and colors… Many beautiful colors, which for so long I never even noticed. I was too busy or too concerned with other issues in my life. It… watercolor… satisfies my soul. Between my amazing husband and family, my foundational and deep faith in God, and my love for watercolor, I am full. I love to share my creativity with others to brighten their lives, if I can, and use this to illustrate the goodness of God.
