Bio
Kevin is from Birmingham, Alabama and he has been drawing or painting since his early childhood. His passion for art was nurtured by his grandfather, who was an artist. He taught Kevin the basics and then Kevin continued to develop his skills by reading books, watching videos, and hours of practice. Kevin’s artistic influence art from Carl Rungius, Richard Bishop, Bob Kuhn and Eldridge Hardie.
After high school, Kevin enlisted in the Marine Corps and then decided to make the military a career. He served over twenty years between the Marine Corps and Army. During this time, he had the opportunity to study with artists from around the world and he was often tasked with producing artwork for the military. Some of these paintings are now displayed in military headquarters and museums.
After retiring from the military, Kevin moved back to Alabama and began a second career as a police and fire dispatcher. He dedicated more time to painting and began showing in art shows and galleries. His primary focus has been on wildlife and sporting art. He has completed hundreds of paintings and many now hang in private and corporate collections throughout the country. Kevin is currently represented by Arceneaux Gallery in Homewood, Alabama and Stonehenge Gallery in Montgomery, Alabama.
Kevin retired from his second career in 2025 and is now living his lifelong dream of being a full-time artist. He works in oils, watercolors, and also enjoys dry point etching.
Currently living in Gardendale, Alabama Kevin enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with my family and friends.
