Bio
Growing up in Birmingham, Alabama, I was introduced to painting at a young age by my artist mother. My passion for creating was further fueled by art and photography classes I took during my early school years. This creative journey led me to Auburn University, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. However, my love for painting remained steadfast.
In 2020, I made the decision to turn my painting “side hustle” into a full-fledged endeavor by immersing myself in the art world. Acrylics are my primary medium, and palette knives are my trusted tools for crafting textures that breathe life into my art. Each stroke, whether meticulously planned or spontaneously executed, infuse my pieces with emotion and depth through texture and color. I apply countless strokes to the canvas or paper before deeming a piece “finished.” I mix colors to create the perfect hue for each piece, rarely using paint directly from the tube. If you saw my studio, you might think it was an absolute mess, with paint splattered everywhere and strokes/color swatches on scattered papers covering the floor. This chaos reflects the grit, emotion, and passion I pour into each painting, both artistically and physically. Whether my work takes on abstract forms or embraces realism, my aim is to spark joy for those who view my work!
