This video describes WordPress.org which allows e-commerce on your site and is a little bit more complicated to use but has greater flexibility. Our Mountain Brook Art Association website was built on the free WordPress.com which has less bells and whistles but may be perfectly adequate for an artist site which does not require e-commerce.
