Art In the Village 2018… THANK YOU!

Now that we’ve recuperated from our 37th annual spring art festival, Art In the Village 2018, we don’t want to forget to thank everyone who came out to support us, even though we had record high temps.

We started out the morning with the Mountain Brook High School Jazz Band. They were AWESOME! What a treat. Thank you to Jason Smith, Mountain Brook High School Band Director, for organizing this very professional performance.

A HUGE thank you to Boy Scout Troop 86 under the supervision of Scout Master David Dowd and Kim Knott. We could not do this show without their help in hauling supplies, setting up and taking down tents. The Birmingham Belles were on hand as our hostesses, handing out programs and running errands.

Always a huge hit, Rollina Oglesbay spent the day creating her amazing portraits, even through the very hot temperatures.

A great hit was our Hand in Paw tent where we had a line waiting to visit with the therapy dogs and goats. We were pleased to hear a repeating comment on what a wonderful quality visitors were finding on the field.  Mountain Brook Art Association is open to painters in the metro area. We meet at Emmet O’Neal Library for great demos and lots of idea sharing.
