TheArtList.com was created in 2003 by a local Connecticut artist who was frustrated with wasting time scouring the Internet looking for quality art contests and art competitions to enter. He found that many of the so called “art opportunities” websites were not much more than a static email list and set out to create a simple website that offered users a quick and easy way of searching the most up to date art call listings.
TheArtList.com has come along way since the early days and was taken over by Editor, Joseph Hollinshead who has grown TheArtList.com from a simple online posting board to an internationally known online resource and art community for Visual Artists and Photographers. TheArtList.com currently has a subscriber base of over 23,000+ members and over 3,000 Submitters (galleries, museums, organizations). We also have partnerships with Festival Network Online, F&W Publications, ArtistSites.org, and The Women’s Caucus of the Arts.
