Art in the Village returns on Saturday, May 4, 9am-5pm. Well known for 42 years, this free community event will celebrate area artists offering a large variety of high-quality fine art paintings and drawings.
Shop the works of more than 55 Mountain Brook Art Association artists, many award winning and regionally known, both inside and outside Mountain Brook City Hall. Enjoy the Floral Art competition featuring the floral arrangement of Lisa Bailey Designs.
Our association
We are a very active association of over 135 local artists who live within a 25 mile radius of Mountain Brook. We meet throughout the year to share information and to observe the techniques and tools used by some of the top artists in the South.
There will be all types of art in our show from very tight realism to loose impressionism to non-representational abstract.. and everything in between. There are many well known artists who will be displaying their work, along with emerging artists new to the craft and/or new to our area.
Floral Competition:
We will also have a floral competition where our artists will be painting the floral arrangement pictured at right in their own style. We are thankful to Lisa Bailey Designs for this beautiful arrangement that we get to paint!
Also on sale at the show will be paintings by well-known artist and long-time MBAA member Janet Tillery (1929-2023), who generously donated them to the association she loved. Her many works include paintings done on location in Maine, Mexico, Italy, the Caribbean, France, New Mexico, Portugal, etc. and are in many private and corporate collections.

Charming Crestline Village is the perfect setting to visit with the artists and mingle with friends, where there is free parking with plenty of restaurants in the area. It is also pet friendly and handicapped accessible.
