Time to Get Ready for THE SUMMIT HOLIDAY SHOW
December 1st to 17th, 11AM-8PM and Sunday Noon-6PM
It’s that time of year again! We are extremely pleased to announce that the Holiday Show this year will be at The Summit Shopping Center, to the left of Bed, Bath, and Beyond (former Coconuts space). Should be a fantastic location with lots of foot traffic from holiday shoppers!
This will be the fourth year that we partner with local charity Hand in Paw who receive 10% of every sale. They are very proactive in getting their patrons to visit the show. This organization works central Alabama bringing animal assisted therapy to hospitals, nursing homes, senior resident homes, to people of all ages. Hand in Paw volunteers will be at the show frequently with therapy pets and their people.
Our Holiday Show is a group effort. Those members who are not showing, but who volunteer hours, may hang a painting to sell and they can replace it if it sells. Volunteering is the best way to get to know the other members and their work. We make sure we have enough staff each day so you can all take turns looking at the artwork and taking breaks. We welcome member volunteers and exhibitors to come paint any time!
Not a member? Check HERE for requirements to participate, and HERE for information on how to join!
The space is about the same size as last year without the dividing walls, so we have a limited number of spaces. Open-to-the-public dates are Dec 1-17 (including 3 weekends!). We will be open daily 11-8, Sunday noon-6. This is first come-first served registration. Don’t wait to register. FORMS ARE BELOW. PLEASE READ THE GUIDELINES CAREFULLY. Then please fill out the forms below, scan or take a photo of them, and email to mtnbrookartassoc.showchair(at)gmail.com

This is a fun show where every member can participate in some way. Volunteers are a huge part of this effort. We keep 3 members in the space at all times, plus a featured artist doing a demo in the window. You’ll have to time to get to know each other and learn from each other. Many members enjoy their time there so much that they sign up for several shifts.
- You do not need business licenses. The club provides them
- You do not need to provide screens
- As usual, we need members to loan screens for us all to use.
- If you loan screens, you do not use them yourself. They are set up & assigned randomly.
- You do not have to be there all the time. Instead you volunteer for a shift or more. We keep 3 members on staff at all times
- As usual, volunteers, those who do not exhibit, may hang a painting or two depending on size.
