As many of our Mountain Brook Art Association members now know, we’ve recently created a new website which incorporates a brand new social media campaign. We’ve created a YouTube channel to post videos of workshops and other educational tutorials, a Twitter account to reach a larger audience, a Flickr site to load pictures of our shows and members’ work, and we now have an active Facebook presence.

As an association, we can exponentially increase our exposure if each member uses the tools of social media to promote their own online presence. As we share links, we can help educate each other in new media, promote individual and group shows, and create interest in local workshops.
Think you can’t do it? Think again… These new tools are free and accessible. Local workshops are becoming more frequent to educate people in their use. Take advantage of them. Alabama Social Media Association is a great resource!
