Springalingadingdong opportunity for artists, Saturday, May 10th

SpringalingadingdongHere’s a great artist opportunity that is coming up next week. Carole Griffin who owns Continental Bakery in English Village is moving her annual Springalingadingdong celebration to the brand new Continental Bakery Downtown location on the corner of 4th Ave North and 19th Street, near McWane.

She and REV Birmingham are inviting area artists to set up their tents and displays along the blocked road outside the restaurant at no cost on Saturday, May 10 from 11 AM to 6 PM. It is also part of the “Second Saturday open air market” in downtown Birmingham.

There are several exciting events going on that day and the street traffic should be very good. This event is held under the “umbrella” of REV Birmingham and so the issue of business licenses and taxes are up to the individual seller. If you’re interested in participating, contact Carole Griffin at lalulu7@hotmail.com or 205-999-1718 ASAP so they will know to count on you. Another contact person is Leah Hamby at 205-461-5446 or her email: sometimesleroy@gmail.com.

Carole Griffin also has a Facebook page where she’s posting information about this big weekend.
